ABOUT FUSION: The College/Young Adult ministry exists to help close the gap that occurs in church attendance between the end of high school and marriage and having children. This is done by reaching and equipping college students and college-aged young adults in order to more fully discover who they are in Christ and encouraging and empowering them to give back to God and a local body of believers through time, service, and/or financially.
In order to reach these aims the groups plans to:
. Take those interested leadership and members of the previous STRAND class and work them into this new environment
. Be a new spiritual “home base” for those young adults who have recently graduated high school and are preparing for college and/or life as an adult
. Reach out to those college-aged people who are currently attending Temple but are not involved in a fellowship group
In, short, the ministry strives to give these people a place to belong in the church.
. Give college-aged adults a place and time to connect with others who experience similar successes and challenges
. Serve as a place to disciple this age-group in order to help them to grow into more mature servants of Jesus and enable them to give back to the Master’s work.
