Discovering the Kingdom NOW
Support GroupsIt is always a blessing to be a part of a family of believers. Sometimes within the Kingdom, you may need the encouragement and comfort of those who have been or are going through the same struggles and difficulties that you find you or your family are dealing with. We can be for one another, a safe haven of warmth and encouragement that can only come from those who know and can relate to our struggle. The HOPE Network offers several support groups where you can find such support.
If you would like to see a support group for an issue other than one listed below, and might be willing to help facilitate such a group just click the "Start a Support Group" link to the left of this page and give us some basic information.
Food Allergies in Children
This support group is for parents of children with food allergies. These food allergies can be from inconvenient to severe and life threatening. Either way, there is a significant impact on the lives of parents and siblings of a child who has to cope with food allergies. This group is led by Allison Cole. You may contact her at 252.637.8446 or contact the HOPE Network at 252.633.3330 or hope@templeonline.net.
Care Givers Support Group
This support group is for individuals who have the responsibility of caring for individuals who depend on them for day to day living. Often the care giver finds that they need the love and support of others who share the same frustrations and difficulties. You may also yearn for friendship and relationship with other Christians. This support group is led by Marie Thompson. For more information, she can be contacted at 252.637.4728 or you can inquire at the HOPE Network at 252.633.3330 or hope@templeonline.net.
Cancer Support Group
This support group is for individuals with cancer, people undergoing cancer treatment, and cancer survivors. In dealing with this difficult disease there is a great deal of strength, comfort, and power that comes from the love, support, and prayers of those who know exactly what you are going through. You will gain great encouragement through the testimonies of those who are survivors. This support group is led by Steve Wiseman. You can contact him directly at 252.637.4439 or cancersupport@suddenlink.net or contact the HOPE Network at 252.633.3330 or hope@templeonline.net.
Family Ministry Support Group
This support group is for families who are working diligently to solidify their family unit. It includes opportunities for families to work together to solve the problems and challenges that face every household. Families work hand-in-hand with trained facilitators to work toward solutions and face the challenges that exist in their home. Trained guidance and strong Biblical family counsel help families to grow together in ways that they never thought possible. This support group is led by Sonia Williams. You can contact her for more information at 252.637.3826 or contact the HOPE Network at 252.633.3330 or hope@templeonline.net. |
